Denis graduated in Dentistry from Trinity College Dublin in 1990. In 1991 he completed a year of Vocational training in General Dental Practice at the University of Southampton. He worked in Private Practice in Portsmouth, England from 1991-1996. In 1994 he completed a Diploma in General Dental Practice at the Royal College of Surgeons in London. In 1997 he took over Rathfarnham Dental Practice from Dr George Ernest Kelleher. In 1999 he was appointed a trainer for newly graduated dentists. In 2000 he received a Diploma in Clinical Dentistry from Trinity College Dublin and in 2008 passed part 1 of the Membership in General Dental Surgery examination at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He has served on Irish Dental Association and Irish Endodontic Society committees. He has a keen interest in all aspects of high quality dental care and regularly attends post-graduate courses both in Ireland and abroad.


Dr. Eimear McEniff

Eimear qualified from Trinity College Dublin in 2001 with an Honours Degree in Dental Science. The Dental Council awarded her their Prize for Best Student in Restorative Dentistry and Periodontology. Following a year working in the Dublin Dental School and Hospital, as a Tutor and Clinician, she joined Rathfarnham Dental Practice in 2002. She spent 2008 in the USA and we are delighted to have her back again permanently in the practice. Eimear is committed to post-graduate development. She has presented at the European Association of Paediatric Dentistry and the International Association of Dental Research. She is Honorary Secretary of the Metropolitan Branch of the Irish Dental Association. She enjoys all aspects of delivering high quality dentistry and recently was selected to make sports guards for the Dublin Senior Gaelic football team.


Dr. Patrick Rooney


Dr Patrick Rooney, Dentist Rathfarnham


Patrick qualified with honours from Trinity College Dublin in 2006. He successfully gained a position on the Irish Vocational Training Programme which provides excellent additional training for selected newly qualified dentists. Since completion of this year Patrick has been working in private practice full time, joining Rathfarnham Dental Practice in 2007. Patrick is very keen to improve his knowledge and skills, successfully gaining Membership of the Faculty of Dentistry with The Royal College of Surgeons Ireland in 2008. Patrick is currently spending one day a week in London at the Eastman Dental Institute, studying for a Masters in Restorative Dentistry.
